Survive

Let this time be the last.
No more pining over the past.
He has faded into the background.
His smile no more to be found.
It has taken pain to bring me here.
Nights spent tossing and turning.
Strength once again so near.
A force of nature begun.
Anger seething within.
Fueling the rage of the sun.
And yet my soul stands undone.
Every day I'm learning.
Life is yearning.
Thoughts shrouded with regrets and remorse.
Let there be no further recourse.
Stone gaze.
Dry eyes.
Anger ablaze.
Time for talk is over.
Reality is that much darker,
when your mind is sober.
There is nothing left to care for.
I will continue to survive.
With nothing more.
